3/2/16. Growler from Craft on Draft. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Grainy aroma, doughy, sweet sugars, plums, apricots, Belgian yeast, a touch of a rubber/band aid aspect. Bitter flavor up front, hinting at band aids again, rubber, very sweet, apricots, sugar. Eh. tia (2228) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - JUL 16, 2012
Tap. Golden with thin white head. Light fruit and a peppery note. Nice dry and astringent flavor that blends well together. Starts full and slick but ends dry and astringent. andyhwcinc (1886) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 4, 2012
Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Moon River in Savannah, GA. Appearance is a slightly clear gold, thin white head. Aroma of belgian candi sugar, honey, sweetness. Taste is pretty good, has a light burn from the alcohol, definitely sweet, honey notes, pretty smooth, goes down very easily. PorterPounder (8293) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 11, 2010
On tap at the brewpub in Savannah poured into an eight ounce wine glass (which honestly was just enough). Medium gold pour, bubbly white head. Boozy, cheap lager aroma with some wet paper bag accents. Sweet, almost cloying flavor which reminds me of one of those "high gravity" lagers sold in big cans. Some candi sugar sweetness mellows it out some, but the alcohol burn is very evident. Not a fan - not one of Moon River’s finest moments. beernovice39 (3269) - Idaho, USA - JUN 27, 2010
Draft. Clear golden color with white head. Frity scent. Mild fruit taste with spices.

Pours a clear golden color with minimal head. Flavor is sweet from the dixie crystal but not overdone. Not for everybody but definately worth trying. jeremytoni (3083) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - FEB 18, 2008
from the tap poured a clear golden with very little head. Flavor was sweet with a heavy alcohol finish. Sammy (12768) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 9, 2008
At the brewpub in Savannah. Sweet from the dixie sugar, in the style of a Belgian with candi. Despite its extreme sweetness, it was darn drinkable, and there is graininess from yeast and wheat. I liked it, and damn good on a winter Georgia night that would be spring back home.

on tap-pours a white ring for a head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet light fruit-pineapple, light grain. Taste is sweet light fruit-pineapple, light grain, some spice, alcohol, yeast. Syrupy malt. Quick/short finish. Nice. aracauna (3682) - Georgia, USA - JAN 19, 2008
Crystal clear gold, but a little pale for the style. Nice, bone white head tops it. Very fruity, yeasty aroma like spiced peaches. Apricot fruitiness overwhelms the pale malt, but there’s just enough bitterness to balance. Dangerously drinkable.
