Pours a flat dark brown, almost black body with a small wispy brown head. The nose is roasty and dry with a nice coffee note. Best aroma of the bunch. The flavor is pretty decent too, though maybe a bit acrid and burnt on the finish. Some lingering burnt malt. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Ok effort.

Growler from ale yeah. Big roasty malt aroma. Medium bodied but still decent bittersweet chocolate flavors. Nice presence for a relatively low alcohol beer.

Pours a color like cola. Nice lacing. Nose is chocolate malt. Taste is flat and somewhat bland. Then again, I'm not a fan of Irish stout. Not bad, but not a favorite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at the brew pub, 19/02/15. Light black with a tan covering, good lacing ensues. Nose is roast malt, spice, biscuit, raisens, light cocoa notes. Taste comprises bitter roast, earthy, dark fruit, trace of chocolate. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok if a touch whelming.

4oz on tap at the brewpub. Labeled 4.1%. Great espresso flavor to this. Mild, but its there, and nice. Not much else to it, though. Black color. Thin brown head. Dots and bits of lace. Decent retention. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Tastes light, like the others, but in this case its appropriate for the ABV. Lighter body. Light carbonation. Would be a great one to swig a pint of. I suppose thats what it made more.
