ordybill (1759) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - MAR 18, 2017
Poured from the tap at Moon River Brewery. The appearance is a dark brown with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. The taste is nutty and full of chocolate and malt.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 10, 2017
Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy beige head. The nose is roasty, burnt caramel, some dark cocoa, minimal hops. The aroma is a bit overly roasty for a Porter, smells much more like a stout. The flavor is a bit burnt and roasted, not much chocolate or cocoa. Some light hops on the back end. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh.

Black with a thin khaki head. Nose is bitter malts, light coffee, chocolate and cocoa. Thin palate, bitter chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and bitter finish.

Pretty roasted malty full bodied Porter. Overall nice but a bit bitter finish for a porter. Hoppy dry finish. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at brewpub. Rich chocolate roasty aroma. Solid roasty chocolate taste. Good porter!

Draft and Cask (with cocoa nibs) at the brewery. Brown color with a tan head on draft and no head on cask. Strong coffee aroma on both, but the cocoa mellows the coffee for sure on the cask. Both are coffee and roast forward. Cask is a bit sweeter with less of a bitterness overall. Very smooth in both presentations. Enjoyed both. Rating is a compilation.

Theydon_Bois (19513) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2015
Keg at the brewpub, 19/02/15. Light black with a moderate tan covering that dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is rich roast, raisens, toffee, dark malt, chocolate. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, toffee, cocoa powder, moalsses. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid enough porter - ticks all the style boxes well!
