COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our wit beer (white beer) is an old style Belgian ale, brewed with wheat and barely , and spiced with Curacao bitter orange peel and coriander. The coriander and orange zest are detectable in the beer's aroma with a lingering, yet subtle "orangeiness." A unique one of a kind brew!
Moon River earned four medals at the 2005 Georgia Craft Brew Challenge hosted by Georgians for World-Class Beer. On Nov. 5, more than 200 lucky people packed the Biergarten at Atlanta’s 5 Seasons Brewing Company to taste the best beers made in Georgia. During the blind judging session, judges evaluated 35 beers and deemed:
• Belgian Ale Category: 1st Place - Wild Wacky Wit

Tap. Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is coriander and orange peel with a light wheat and yeast note. The flavor is a bit thin and bland. It’s just all corinander with a minimal bit of yeastiness. Pretty weak stuff. Light bodied and watery with soft light carbonation. Meh, not a good example of the style. Gets especially soapy on the finish the more you have.

on tap at the brewpub in Savannah GA - very pale, almost white in color. Smells great - banana and clove. Taste isn’t as good as the aroma.

On tap at brewpub. Lemon and soap aroma. Bright lemony spice flavor. Lots of lemon in the aftertaste. Alright.

hayduke (5187) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 7, 2016
Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass a hazy light yellow with a thin white head. Nose of citrus and some coriander. Light in body. Flavor is citrus with bite and the coriander is big in the lemon zest finish. A lot like Los Coast Great White from my hometown.

Vom Fass im Brauhaus in Savannah. Orange trübe Farbe mit festem weissen Schaum. Orangenschale, Citrus und Hefe in der Nase. Geschmack ist frisch und fruchtig. Korriander und Orsnge kommen schön heraus. Tolles süffiges Wit.

chinchill (4928) - South Carolina, USA - OCT 18, 2015
On tap and listed at 4.1% ABV. Very pale and cloudy golden body with a decent head. Mild and fruity aroma with lemon, orange and vague citrus notes. The flavor is more fruity and comes with some bready yeast notes that longer into the aftertaste. Overall: Good interest and balance in a mild, fruity ale.
