4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 27, 2012 Wow wow wow, like other reviewers have said there are no cherries to pick up here... and thank goodness, I just want a well made stout that’s it, adjuncts can work but all too often make a novelty of a beer and take away from the sessionability. This is an awesome stout and drinking this I really feel like it’s November in Merseyside. This beer is the reason Moon Under Water will become one of my regular haunts. The diacetyl in their bitter made me believe they don’t know quite what they’re doing, but I was obviously mistaken.
pours dark cola black, minimal head, micro CO2 and not much retention. Malts and chocolate on the nose. Super silky mouthfeel up front, low carbonation, tastes of chocolate, bing cherries, heavy thick malts, light roasted coffee, and a medium deep lingering bitter finish. Medium-high complexity, med-high depth, good carry, good transitions, good drinkability. Overall a very smooth and appreciable stout with a subtle cherry twist. vancookalex (13) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2012
Pours dark as night with a solid amount of creamy head. Aroma of milk chocolate and sour cherry..kind of reminds me of the "Choco Cherry Love" Dairy Queen Blizzard. Flavour is toasty cereal, chocolate and the slightest tinge of cherries. Creamy mouthfeel despite being a little more medium bodied. Disappointed with the amount of cherry to be honest. I bought this specifically for the cherry, regardless, it is a pretty good stout overall.

Pours black with a small tan head. Aromas of milk chocolate, cereals. Medium bodied, very smooth, with low carbonation. Light chocolate and espresso mix well on the palate. Finish is bitter sweet. Not much cherry presence, I would of liked more, but still really good. LarryBeast (616) - - APR 7, 2012
Rich and dark with a thick brown head. Heavy notes of decadent roasty chocolate make this a hearty dessert in a glass. While I couldn’t taste the alleged cherry, neither did I miss its absence. If I was forced to voice a complaint it would be about the fact that the brewpub wouldn’t fill my Growler with stout because it pours too slow. Settling for a fresh pint of this glorious beer is a happy consolation prize.

Chocolate malt with cherry extract. Huge lasting tan head atop a deep black body. Nose is very slight. Sweet and dry front, very velvety texture. No cherry detected but all in all a nice offering. Soon to be in bottles.
