Bottle from Boutip at GRMs. Dark and hazy violet with light rose foam topping. Musty raspberry, oak, acidic, incredibly dry with a full body and moderate carbonation, epson salts, light hint of cherry pit, definitely cleans the enamel off your teeth with a long, acidic and sour finish. Boutip (6692) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 27, 2016
Bottle: Poured a deep purple color ale with a nice dark foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of huge blackberry notes with some tart notes also noticeable. Taste is also a mix of loads of blackberry notes with some tart notes, light acidic notes with a somewhat dry finish. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. The level of complexity and drinkability is quite incredible in this beer. Lubiere (14429) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 18, 2016
A burgundy red ale with a thin rosey white head. In aroma, beautiful herbaceous malt, with Epsom salts, light Brett, light lactic notes, raspberry jam, light acidity, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of dark fruits, raspberry jam, light acidity, light Epsom salts, very nice and complex. Bottle from Boutip, at GRMs tasting. pictoman (1280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 18, 2016
Poured from the tap. Purple red with off white head. Strong blackberry sweet tartness, with malty underlays.

Trade with Jerry. Extraordinary dry sour. Reddish colour. Good ideas but not the best execution of a port barrel aged and the red currents. Whatup14 (2267) - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 18, 2015
CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 6, 2015
Huge frothy pink head atop a deep ruby body. Nose of raspberries, red white and fruit punch. Flavour is highly tart. This stuff is amazing. I loved the last two bottles but this one is better. It’s getting better with age. Yum. tom10101 (6340) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 19, 2015
Bottle (375 ml). Thanks to Thomas for this one! Split 3-ways with JulienHuxley and Luk_, but it looks like some vultures (czar, Minderbinder) got the tick from the same bottle.

Appearance: Hazy and deep burgundy-ish purple with a small pink/purple head and little to no lacing.
Aroma: Tons of blackcurrants along red wine/port/vinous presence, hints of oak and light vegetal notes. Not the most complex nose, but still really enticing.
Taste: Moderate fruit sweetness well balanced by a moderate acidic presence. Again, there’s a ton of blackcurrants and a definitely noticeable port barrel-aging treatment that bring some red berries and cherries notes. There’s a bit of oak as well, but not much and even less than in the aroma as well a mild herbal notes.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Vinous mouthfeel. Super fruity finish with a mild vegetal aftertaste.
Overall: Complexity is not super high, but enjoyability is. A burst of blackcurrants along a mild acidic presence and a port/red wine barrel treatment is a good recipee for success and this one didn’t disappoint. Very tasty stuff.
Pours hazy purple with low pink/purple head. Aroma is of black currant, fruits, berries, red grapes. Taste is of black currant, fruits, sourness, berries, acidity, tannins. Palate: Light-medium body. Low-medium carbonation. Overall: Pretty good. Nice fruits.
