On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City. Pours black with a lasting tan head, not unlike regular Death & Taxes. Aroma is rather tart with roast, coffee, and cocoa. Flavor is also tart and roasty with chocolate and coffee and a nice restrained tartness. Well-balanced. Medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with just a little tart bite. A very enjoyable beer overall. Unique. Jaksmart (456) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2011
Tap @ CBF. Pours black, small brown head. Aroma is peated with smoke, liquorice, vinegary sourness, chocolate, tons of different, ripe berries. Taste is slightly sour with berries, liquorice, spices, blackberry and a nice bitterness to keep the sourness in check. Quite chewy but not at all to thick. chibuck (3521) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 15, 2011
draft I believe tis is their sour mash beer... light black with a light tan head... roasted dark chocolate with a touch of cherries... much tarter than the nose, but the gets of the roasted chocolate, tastes like a much lighter version of Margrete... worth trying AnyJoe (36) - Aalborg, DENMARK - APR 11, 2012
