Bottle. Thanks to CLW/CLT. Still-deep red. A-berries. Ok, currants, some earthy. T-sweet berries, some wood, slight alcohol. tom10101 (6039) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 30, 2015

>>> A good semi-sweet berries mead that hide is alcohol pretty well but lack a bit in the mouthfeel department.
- Dark reddish-amber leaving little legs on the glass.
- Nose was a bit weird and almost carboard-ish at first, but when it opened up it showcased a rather rich honey presence and plenty of berries.
- Taste feature a mild fruity tartness that help cut through the sweetness (which is average for a mead I think).
- Alcohol is well hidden and only showing up a bit in the finish where it gives an interesting warming presence.
- Body is medium. Mouthfeel is what I like the less with this mead. Despite the fruitiness, it isn’t vinous (like some Schramm’s meads can be) and it doesn’t have much honey depth either.
Flavors: Berries (blueberries mostly and other berries), honey, herbal notes, mild spiciness.
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 Dark clear violet like a red wine. Rich sweet aroma of honey, currant, and dark berries. Flavor is sticky sweet and sultry with dark stone fruitiness, dark berries, lots of honey, currant, and fig. Yum.

Courtesy of Sparky. Pours rosy red with ruby red hues here and there. The aroma is sugary sweet heading into honey goodness and a blueberry dark currant sort of mix. The taste starts sweet and rich with smooth honey and then gets into more and more near tart berry notes. Nice stuff. It ends a little dry and almost red wine like.

Bottle shared by Sparky...thanks Eric! Raspberry pour. Still body but shows additional shimmers of crimson, ruby, and scarlet. Nose not as assertive as the flavor but does show cherry, red grape, dark fruit, and some cocoa. Much more complex and aggressive in flavor. Currants, plum, prune, Bing, pomegranate, honey, and chocolate are all there. Nice depth of flavor. Man I love meads! daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Red pour. Loads of berries and fruit galore! Cherries, currants, bramble fruit. Good! fbm115 (187) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 14, 2012
pours a still deep deep red color. smell is a blast of acidic berries and grape with a sweet mellow honey light waxiness. taste is a rich tart berry sweet and sour balance. kinda gets that jaw sourness. rich and flavorful. full body mouthfeel. overall throughly enjoyable. would love more! beerbill (3616) - Laurel, New York, USA - DEC 6, 2011
375 ml clear glass bottle. I was very pleased to wander into Yankee Spirits and find a nice selection of meads from Moonlight Meadery. I shared this bottle with my wife. Pours a clear red with purple tinting and no head. This is a still mead. Pleasant aroma that is filled with berries with some notes of sweet honey. The flavor is lovely with ample berries and sweet honey. The honey is clean and sweet and lacks the earthiness found in some honeys/meads. Short finish; the flavor, which initially is fairly intense, falls off quickly. Despite the sweetness, not cloying on the palate. A bit pricey at $13.99 for a 375 ml bottle. Enjoyable.
