Dark ruby color slightly muddy purple as well. Smell is dark cherry, blueberry, cheesey, sulfite, honey. Taste is moderately sweet fruity with a lot of cherry, blueberry and currant. Fairly boozy but the sweetness controls it. Very much a dessert in a bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy purple is an unusual and not necessarily appetizing appearance - you dont see too many murky meads. The aroma is alcohol first, with some sticky honey notes, and then some light berryish fruits. Soft, fruity character with - I agree with Flurries here - a light balsamic note. A touch of alcohol late rounds things out. Decent, but rather unrefined.

Balsamic mead. Copper brown body. Nose of berry, balsamic vinegar, mild sour cherries. Very sweet. Tastes like cough drops.
