Almost black with a tan head. On the sweet side with chocolate, light roasted malt, grapefruit. The finish was quite dry and with some sourness. A descent one.

On tap at FWIBF. Pours with a near black hued body and a tan head. Aromas are tart and lactic with some grainy notes, doughy and a whisp of roast. Flavors are tart, grainy, leathery and very clean. Tap: black pour with medium-sized beige head. Aroma is smokey grain with toffee and molasses. Flavor is smokey with roasted grain, toffee, raisin, and a lightly tart cherry ending. A somewhat thick flavorful sipping beer, interesting...may have more.

Almost black in color with a tan head. Nose is rather fruity, sort of has a plum and raisin aspect to it. Nice roasted malt, coffee, a slight acidity, and a bit of chocolate. Sweet flavor at first with toffee and dark fruit notes. The finish is lightly bitter and a bit tart/acidic. Nice coffee and roasted malt with a light chocolate note. On tap. Very dark brown to black with a fizzy tan head. Sweet roasted grain and light chocolate flavors up front with a light citrus tartness on the back end with a crisp clean finish and a slightly oily medium bodied palate.
