On tap at the Toronado. This was the cask-conditioned version when I was there. An amber beer with a big off-white head. I get flavors of oranges and tea. Palate is mild and smooth for easy drinking of mass quantities. A satisfying bitter finish awaits you. A pretty awesome beer, but then again, it might be the locale. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 15, 2011

Pint at Road in the hole. Cask. Ok aroma sweet. Little grass, Little caramel little Apple. Clean reddish Orange color. Good head and lace. Bitter flavor. Lite body thin smooth mouthfeel. Dry bitter finish. It’s ok. Nice lingering bitter finish. Fine bitter. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 17, 2008
Cask @ Toronado 1/4/08. Pours dark amber with a thin tan head. Nose is muted but hoppy. Taste is sweet and hoppy and a little bitter. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - SEP 29, 2009
Draft @ Flavor. Pours a hazy amber color; fluffy light tan head with excellent retention and medium-bubbled lacing; great texture, beautiful show. Solid presence of red fruits, basic wet malts, and a very light earthy bitterness in the aroma; slightly reserved. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of earthy bitterness coupled to a slightly vegetal / green apple note that detracts; nice citrus / mineral bitterness, but the off note really complicates things; a touch misguided. Funky bitter (at least that’s what my notes say). Lengthy finish: earthy bitterness, fruitiness; nicely dry and bitter end.

Draft at The Linkery in San Diego.
Pours a dark golden amber color with a one finger off white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Floral, earthy aroma with a nice balance of piney and citrus hop notes. Pine needle, grapefruit and orange peel along with some biscuity malt.
Fuller bodied than expected with a good balance of dry bitterness, citrus rind and sweet malt. Slightly dry and resinous with some pine needle and floral notes countered by some grapefruit and orange peel. Decent malt backbone provides balance without taking away from the hops. Slightly sweet with hints of caramel, subtle toffe and biscuit. Well done. jazz88 (2676) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 30, 2003
Tap. Mahogany color with a slight cherry flavor. Good malt nose and a rich full bitter. A nice treat.
