Sample from bottle at Moonstruck Meadery. Pours is a clear liquid. Aroma was grape wine, honey. Taste was red wine, slight bitter, grainy.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2017 I’m new to mead, but this one seemed pretty solid. The honey sweetness was understated, slick mouthfeel with a clear yellow appearance. Tried at Farnam House with Brandon and Monica in 2016. Tried again with Jess at the meadery in 2017.

The aroma is sulfur like with some sweet honey. The appearance is yellow clear with no head. The taste is like the aroma and could have come out of a toilet. The palate is watery. I can sum it up in one word, avoid.

there are way too many faults for this mead. when opening the bottles the aroma is noticeable of sulfur and also slightly repugnant. the palate is soft but slightly watery. the taste is taste of medicinal and lack of the quality of honey that one needs in a mead. slightly carbonated. drain pour
