Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Bonne IPA. Nez assez floral, mangue, ananas. Un fond assez herbal et frais. Bouche très équilibrée : beaucoup plus porté sur les agrumes, assez rond avec l’attaque fruitée, relativement floral, finale peu amère mais plutôt sèche.

Can, 6.5% at KØ16. Good creamy hop aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Small creamy white head. The flavour is sweet and nicely hoppy. Good creamy and isotonic mouthfeel. Grassy, fruity and citric hoppiness.

0,33 puszka, na szybko. Przyjemny aromat chmielowy, ale nie jaki? zniewalaj?cy. W smaku wytrawnie, chmielowo, goryczka umiarkowana.

Can. Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, lots of citrus, light resin, light malts, light wet socks. Taste is rather bitter with a light sweet touch. Dry and bitter finish. Quite clean. Pretty old school but good.

Aarslew (52) - - MAY 18, 2016
Can from Flask. Pours a cloudy darkish orange with a big white head. Aroma of hops, pine, orange. Taste is slightly bitter, somewhat dry and not too sweet. It’s light-medium bodied and has a low carbornation.

Vestergaard (2091) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2016
Can thanks to Aarslew! Pours a cloudy golden orange with a big bubbly, white-ish head. Aroma has grassy hops, light pine, light toasted caramel malts, sweet mango/overripe orange notes. Taste has a light sweetness, medium bitterness, and is overall pretty dry. Texture, though, is rather oily, and the beer has a somewhat low carbonation.

Can. Pours out pale amber with a thin white head. Nose is candied orange - it smells vibrant and glorious. Straightaway you get dry tannic bitterness and an unwelcome wheat tang. There is a boozy maltiness underneath and a marmalade finish. Feels a bit thin and watery but at the same time the alcohol is too evident. This is meant to be a hop party but everything here is cranked up to ten and you are left with a messy and unsatisfying brew. This Brewer needs to start making beer that tastes like it smells.

CzechTex (163) - - APR 23, 2016
On tap. Minor lacing, foam disappeared quickly. Tart, hoppy as the name implies. High quality is evident, but I’m not sure this is a 98. Lower alcohol content might let the flavor breathe a bit...

TimE (6275) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 22, 2016
Cloudy amber color. Big thick white head. Hugely hoppy nose. Dry hopped to the tits. Amazing astringent, hoppy dry mouth, that for four months old. East coast ipa and just nails it out of the park. Amazing
