Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

0,33l can from alesbymail rated a couple days ago. BB date is a bit unreadable, I think it says Nov 2017. amber hazy color, rather big white head. smells of grapefruit, spices, peppery, herbal, lemon grass, ok smell, but not overwhelming. full body, soft but light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of pines, exotic fruits, lightly citric, passion fruit, mango, spices, rather malty, light resin. finishes quite balanced with very light bitterness, and notes of pines, mango and light citric notes. good one, but was expecting a bit more, a bit malt heavy, and not as crisp and refreshing as i was expecting. lovely fruit notes though. overall still nice beer though. note: 2nd pour from the can was quite a bit more hoppy but rather one-dimensional herbal hoppy, so rating doesnt change.

30.07.2016, 0,33l can @ local tasting:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and fresh grassy, leafs, fresh hops, moss, lawn, minerals, light malts, hay, citrus peel, sawdust. Taste is slightly dry grassy, weeds, leafs, minerals, harsh hops, medicine, citrus peel, hay, sawdust, bark, paper. Medium bitterness, medical mouthfeel. Nice aroma, not so nice flavors...

290716. Can at home. Pours hazy copper with a nice head. Aroma citrus, some pine. Not much though. At first felt a bit disappointing but some how got better after a while. Balance is good. Not Bad.

Can. Superb golden colour with a tall, frothy white head. Hoppy aroma, I smell grapefruit, passion fruit, peach and citrus herbs. Medium body and carbonation. Not particularly long which is surprising. Lots of bitterness, though not to the extreme. Also rich malt. A very good beer.

Visuellement un peu trouble. Très aromatiques, avec une amertume net (pamplemousse) en fin de bouche sans être envahissante. Une très bonne IPA.

33cl can from Prohibition Wines. Hazy orange gold colour with a white head. Very hoppy aroma. Oily texture and a taste of resin and blood orange. There is a sharply bitter finish and a long-lasting aftertaste of bitter orange marmalade. A really good beer with a taste somewhere between a barley wine and an APA.

Overall: Toffee, grapefruit marmalade, bitter peel

0.33l can. Smells a lot just popping the can. It’s really hoppy and piney fruity in the room. On the pour it’s kinda blurry, golden orange in color and on the top there’s a nice medium sized quite side clinging white head. Piney and zesty with clementine and blood oranges on the nose. Quite fresh and nice aroma. It tastes a little older than it smells unfortunately. A bit closed in flavors. Not directly metallic, more hop pungent. It has a nice oily texture in the mouth and it’s just above average on the relatively large bubbled carbonation. Grassy and bitter, a little birch, sap. Wish I could have tried this a little fresher. Can see from the cap that the can was made in December.. 23.07.2016

Bottle from Koht, Tallinn. Almost clear golden color, white head. Aroma is fresh hops, malts, lemon notes and grass. Fresh well made IPA.
