COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Can from Flask. Pours a cloudy darkish orange with a big white head. Aroma of hops, pine, orange. Taste is slightly bitter, somewhat dry and not too sweet. Its light-medium bodied and has a low carbornation.

Can thanks to Aarslew! Pours a cloudy golden orange with a big bubbly, white-ish head. Aroma has grassy hops, light pine, light toasted caramel malts, sweet mango/overripe orange notes. Taste has a light sweetness, medium bitterness, and is overall pretty dry. Texture, though, is rather oily, and the beer has a somewhat low carbonation.

Can. Pours out pale amber with a thin white head. Nose is candied orange - it smells vibrant and glorious. Straightaway you get dry tannic bitterness and an unwelcome wheat tang. There is a boozy maltiness underneath and a marmalade finish. Feels a bit thin and watery but at the same time the alcohol is too evident. This is meant to be a hop party but everything here is cranked up to ten and you are left with a messy and unsatisfying brew. This Brewer needs to start making beer that tastes like it smells.

On tap. Minor lacing, foam disappeared quickly. Tart, hoppy as the name implies. High quality is evident, but Im not sure this is a 98. Lower alcohol content might let the flavor breathe a bit...

Cloudy amber color. Big thick white head. Hugely hoppy nose. Dry hopped to the tits. Amazing astringent, hoppy dry mouth, that for four months old. East coast ipa and just nails it out of the park. Amazing

Seriously.. Nobody ever rated this??!! Looks .. Bright, but murky orange, medium head. Smells.. Lots of citrus, tropical fruits and pine. Tastes..big tropical fruits, mango, apricot, paw paw, piney and resinous, enough chewy caramel malts and a healthy hop bitterness at the end. Serously good, amongst the better ipa varieties I tasted and rated.

Jolie mousse. Parfum trs engageant.

Can from Thirsty, Cambridge. Drunk at home. Golden and ever so slightly hazy, with a lovely crown of white head. Pine, pine and more pine in the aroma. Gummy, resinous, and enticing. Hints of lemon and pineapple. Bitter hop bomb. The taste is unrelentingly bitter while remaining pleasant and refreshing. Long resinous aftertaste. Body is slightly watery but other than that this is top notch. A wonderful IPA worth seeking out.

Can purchased at Les Vignerons in Rome-Italy. Pours clear gold, pretty bright with white persistent foam. Nose: garlic, bit citric, perfume of fresh hops. Fantastic! Mouth: medium carbonation, more garlic, sweet malty feel, orange, super dry clean finish. Lovely!
