COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Fra keg på bryggeripuben 29 Apr 17. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Tett filmskum med teppelacing. God ferskenaroma. Smaken behagelig fruktig. Mest fersken. Avslutter tørt.

Keg, one-third pint at Moor Brewery Tap. Filmy layer, solid lacing. Hazy orange-gold body. Pine and ripe citrus on the nose. Fresh fruity flavours, well hopped, moments of pine, citrus, wheat, and subdued malty sweetness. Dry bitter finish. Mouth filling. Nice with fine drinkability. (Attending East Bristol Brewery Trail 29.04.2017).

ALLOVATE (3003) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 8, 2017
Opaque, sunny orange with fine conditioning lifting up a messy wash of white foam. Strange mash of aromas come through on the nose but are quite withdrawn and subdued. Ripe strawberry and raspberry, bubblegum, pine resin, rose water, pineapple juice and crushed Vitamin C tablets. Quite soft on the palate. Sweet front with an assertively bitter swing passed the mid-palate. Good firm body, lightly resinous and oily with plenty of length. Perfumed musk dominated flavour. Good lot of orange and mandarin flesh, pineapple with a hit of sharp white wine. Alcohol has some warmth. Malt is biscuity and chewy and adds to the sweetness. Nicely balanced. Still drinking good even this far beyond its ’best before’. Not a bad drop at all! (33cL can, BBE 12/16, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

330 ml can from Beergonzo, bb Jan 18. Thanks to Werckmeister.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, lime, strone fruits, some pine, some mint, some lemon candy.
Tastes quite similar, with some more biscuit.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, zesty, citric, piney, a bit yeasty, subtly sweet fruity.

Tasty. Straight and dry, with lovely, bright citric notes, supported by some pine and just enough biscuity malt body. Not the most complex IPA, but very well balanced and fresh to drink.

Slightly hazy gold, with a big pillowy white head. Nose of citrus and pine. Medium body and carb. Flavour is bitter from the outset, then there is grapefruit and pineapple, and behind that some toffee malt.
