Bottle courtesy of StoreMy, shared @ tasting with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew feat. Foffern, StoreMy and the local media! :-) Pours a deep, dark orange hazy body with a small white head. Nose is nutty honey tones, caramel, melon, grass and hints of molasses. Taste is fuzzy, grassy hop tones, honey, caramel, beeswax and hints of grass. Long, bitter aftertaste. Damn, this is one fine beer from Britain, and its refreshing to taste a DIPA in a different tradition than the American. Like to see more of those. pag977 (3) - Napoli, ITALY - NOV 9, 2011 does not count
One of my all time favourite beers. Massive hops but superbly balanced, even at a whopping 9.5%abv. JK54B (1602) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 21, 2011
Draught at Pikkulintu 0.4L 18.11.2009. Mild nose. Pale beige head. Hazy slightly reddish amber colour. Slightly sweet more than average hopped taste. Fullfilled and warming. Some grapefruit in the taste. At the end hoppy bitterness. tiong (7306) - Espoo, FINLAND - JUL 18, 2011

Hazy amber color with red shades; small head. Good malty aroma, with a cheesy/yeasty head, and some fruits. Strong body, round, sweet caramel/toffee, fruity hops; but the yeast character quite clashes with the American IPA. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - MAY 25, 2011
Bottle. Pours a hazy and copper beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel and hops with pine and peach. The flavor follows the nose with additional sweetness. The palate is dry with bitterness. Overall a good beer. hallinghansen (3193) - Odense SV, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2011

Cask at CPK. Pours a clear, rich amber with a soft, white head. Rich caramel, leaves and pineapple hops in the nose. Damn good flavor, very sweet but backed by the hops as well. Loads of candied sugar, fruits, caramel and toffee, alongside a potent bitterness that is resinous and piney. Full bodied with fine carbonation and quite warming. Finishes sticky and sugary, warming, with hints of booze. The bitterness coats the throat. Nice heat. Overall pretty awesome.
