This is one big beer. Forget the ABV, which is just a by-product of the passion. James and Josh from the Queen’s Arms, Corton Denham, and I (hence JJJ) have a shared passion for great beers and were lamenting the lack of true IPAs in the UK. So we decided to brew our own version of heaven. Double IPA was just not good enough - we needed a triple IPA. Triple the gravity, triple the colour, and more than triple the hops. With nearly 700 kg of malt and over 11.5 kg of hops this beer is big in every sense. In fact, it was so big and hoppy that it broke our pump! Deep copper in colour, over the top in aroma and flavour, but somehow still remaining (somewhat) balanced, this beer is not for the faint of heart. And if you don’t like hops, don’t even think about it. But if you do, dare we say this may be the best beer you’ll ever taste.

Bottle: Cloudy amber-orange color. Small head, disappear quickly. Lovely aroma, very intense. Fresh mixture of oranges, pines, resins, tangerines, citrus, lychees, yellow apples - very nice. Taste is sweet and bitter. Mainly citrus, mango, oranges, topical fruits and hoppy liqueur. Very balanced, multidimensional and powerfull. Long bitter and warming finish. Low carbonation with full body. Thick and oily texture. Great combination of Barley Wine and IIPA.

650mL bottle, pours a murky dark amber / burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma brings out shitloads of caramel malts, loads of resinous hops, and some syrupy residues. Flavour is way on the malty side, more like a barley wine, with boatloads of caramel malts, resinous hops poking through, and loads of syrupy. Loads of sweetness in here, like a malty barley wine, with strong hops. I’d classify this more as a barley wine, but I’d love to try this fresher (than 4 months). Excellent stuff.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor Long great heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Actually this bottle was a hidden gem in my cellar. It was BB dec12 so I was a bit worried, but this has indeed been a great experience. I wonder if I would have given higher score if fresh but as I still rate above the beers average my rating stands. Keep it up Moor!

Peach aroma, peachy pour. Not a sexy beer, leaves alot to be desired overall. Sticky mouthfeel from the overly present alcohol taste. More carbonation would go a long way.

What can only be described as an explosion of flavour! Although unsessionable, I just wanted to sip it all night. A full bodied richness. More like a barley wine but with subtle IPA hops!

Murky peach. Aroma is hops. Big mouthfeel, no fruitiness, all hops resin. Overall, interesting beer but too much resin for me.

Rich amber colour with great head and lacing. Herbal spice hop malt aroma. Herbal spice coriander malt flavour. Smooth long lingering palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy, almost no head, amber/orange colour. Aroma is mango, grapefruit, some pine, no alcohol. Taste is light sweet, fruity with a nice medium bitter finish. Body is little to light for the IIPA in my opinion. Carbonation very flat which suited well in this drink. In overall - quite a good beer, nice aroma, medium bitter, fruity taste. Only the head was very disappointing.
