From the cask in Oxford somewhere. From old notes. Medium copper color. A bit sweet, malt driven flavor with fruit and caramel. Decent enough hops. Thicker body; mellow. AgentAle (1783) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 2, 2014
Aroma is rich traditional ale maltiness with some slight carbonation. Taste is light sweet malts met fairly quickly with basic floral and slightly earthy bitterness. Appearance is a murky orange with a pearl creamy bubbly head. JohnRMurdoch (4986) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAR 5, 2014
660ml bottle from BeerRitz. Hazy amber brown, not much head, a bit flat. Fruity grain malt aroma. Dry rustic malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. A bit watery and disappointing for a Moor beer. dfearnley (2247) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 9, 2014
Bottle to American pint glass
Sweet citrus, grains, and some skunk.
Hazy amber with a huge off white head that quickly settles to 2-3 mm. The head is quite bubbly and coats the sides if the glass and doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. The taste is grains, white pepper, light yeast with bitterness throughout. DuffMan (10549) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Incredibly gassy brew-- not a gusher, but a column of foam ominously rises from the neck of the bottle; when poured, the beer expands to fill the glass with pure foam, requiring about 8 installments to do the job. Light grassy hop aroma fights with plastic phenols. he palate is watery and nearly flat after that epic de-gassing during the pour. Light citrus and grass, light biscuit malt, with a faint plastic note in the finish that is mercifully not as prevalent as in the aroma. Obviously past its prime.
