COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, keg & bottle conditioned; Regular.
Previously known as Northern Star.

Ultra-pale, ultra hoppy, ultra sexy, ultra modern golden ale showcasing Northern Hemisphere hops to impart a pronounced floral and citric quality to the beer, with honey and elderflower in the nose. This beer had been so anticipated that in less than two weeks of release it had won a beer festival and sold out. Not wanting to disappoint its many fans, we have rebrewed it and keep it on permanently.

Cloudy yellow body with an off-white head that laces the glass well while reducing to a thin layer. Hoppy and strong aroma of tropical fruits (the usual suspects mango and peach), and a bit sweet caramel. Strong flavour of mango, peach, grapefruit, and sweet caramel. Light sweet and light to moderate bitter taste. Light and dry mouthfeel, quite soft carbonation. A nice one. So, why isn’t this one classified as a session IPA? The lack of bitterness.
[20 cl from tap @ Røør, Oslo]

Pint in the pelt trader. Lovely session number. Fruity, hoppy, tasty pint. No complaints.

From can in shaker. Pours a hazy golden hue with aroma of fruity hops and a bit of ale yeast. Smooth and tasty with a bit of bitterness in the tail that increases as it warms. Best golden ale I’ve had to date

Aroma is flowers and honey. Taste is bitter lemon, a hoppy bite, and some lime. Fruity and citric overall.

Herbal y cítrica. Fresca y lupulada. Ligera de cuerpo y refrescante. Final ligeramente amargo y postgusto duradero. ¿Golden ale? ¿Session IPA? ¿American pale ale? Da lo mismo, es una delicia. BB 2018/01

Sampled at vcbf 2017. Thnx for sharing, Tim and Eugene! Pours clear blonde, small and stable, creamy white head. Smell is mildly aromatic, hoppy , somw citrussy aspects. Bitter. Taste is medium dry, grainy (light malts ) as well as a mild, grainy hiparoma. Bit weak body though, even for the abv.v

Fresh fruity beer: citrus, grapefruit, touch of peach. Hoppy bitter, but not too much. A bit watery. Not very spectacular, but a decent beer.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2017 Cask at Euston Tap. Sweaty lemon hops aroma. Fresh lemon zest and grassy cereal undertones. Ideal summer beer.

Can from the Old Bicycle Shop, Cambridge. Light gold, hazy with a white film for a head. Light resinous aroma with citrus and banana notes. Surprisingly sweet taste: there’s a touch of a hoppy bitterness but for the most part it’s gentle, honeyed and refreshing. Lightly carbonated. It’s not a ’knock your socks off’ beer, but it’s well-balanced and a pleasant joy to sip.
