Rye adds a distinctive, spicy flavour to beer that is both interesting and enjoyable. It’s even better when paired with smoked malt. If you’re not used to smoked beer it may come as a bit of a surprise. Don’t worry, by the third one you’ll be hooked and book a ticket to Bamberg. Book an extra one for me please.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2017 W aromacie świetnie wyważony balans pomiędzy słodem, chmielem i dymem. Bardzo gładki zapach. Bywają słody żytnie, które po prostu śmierdzą. Ten pachnie. W smaku trochę kwiatowo-owocowej mikstury, żytnia podbudowa i lekka wędzonka. Najlepsze jasne, wędzone piwo, jakie piłem do tej pory. I chyba najlepsze żytnie.

Hazy golden pour with a little bit of frothy off-white head. Aromas of smoked beech/applewood, a little tropical fruit and some herbs.Juicy, fruity taste with some of the same smoke from the aroma, in balance. There is also some caramel / rye - the aftertaste gives way to smoke again, with some persistent caramel. Great stuff, and not as over the top as some rauchbier.
