Very dark ruby red colour, mediumsized brown creamy head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, spices and some smoke. Flavour is quite the same, but a bit thin. Still a very pleasant cask ale.

Cask at the White Horse Pub, London. Pours brown with a modest, off-white head. Lightly roasted malts in the aroma with faint mocha. Flavor is modestly sweet with notes of ash, cocoa and tobacco, along with a fair amount of dry bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Red-mahogany color. A good mix of (light) malt and caramel, lightly fruity too; luckily there is no roasted malt, unfortunately there is a light metallic touch. The final, well bitter, is also a bit harsh. Enjoyable.

Nose is light charr, dark toffee, brown bread, cocoa powder.
Taste comprises earthy fruit, tobacco, cocoa rub, dark malt, molasses.
Light to medium body, soft carbonation, light dryness in the close.
Decent flavoursome mild.
