I urge you all to go and sit in the Pendle Witch pub in Atherton (sandwiched between Wigan and Bolton) owned by Moorhouses. Sup away with your eyes shut and you could be forgiven for thinking you were actually in heaven. I recommend you go to this pub for their beer bash (which is held over the same weekend as the CAMRA Bent and Bongs Beer Bash held in Athertons Formby Hall which starts on the last Thursday of January). Enjoy! AsaNewt (113) - blackpool, Lancashire, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2008 apple and banana on the nose with a creamy citrus and honey flavour. full of hints of raisins and fruit with a dry bitter finish. I was a bit nervous rating this as was one of the first real ales i ever had. Yep its still as good as always. mike_77 (7098) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - MAR 15, 2010
Pale orange colour. Rich silky texture. Slightly sweet and fruity but with a mildly bitter finish.

Very clear, well kept real ale. Rich head that keeps almost all the way. Malty and a bit on the sweet side. Easily downed. Too easy for this strength, almost.Nice, slightly fruity/flowery aftertaste from the hops. Can I have anothother of this, please, Mr Barman?!
Cask gravity Dover BF 06. Copper with thin head. Nice fruit, very drinkable. Good premium bitter. Could drink a lot of this. Good balance, well made beer (as SilkTork wouldn’t say)

cask at AGBell ... orange amber ... thin creamy white head ... soft sweet orange fruity nose ... juicy creamy ovaltine malts ... big fruit ... really quite nice Beese (3210) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2014
Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford. Poured a clear, deep golden colour, with a dense white head and excellent lacing. Interesting aroma of berries, flowery hop and cloves. Initial flavours of peppery hop, caramel, biscuit and grass. Finish was hop resin, straw and lingering spice. A rather unique brew; still good.
