An exceptionally fine balance of malt and hops give this beer a long dry and extremely satisfying finish.

Pours amber. Nose is sweet grainy malt. Taste is spicy and green hops. Not really that well balanced. Bitter and dry on the finish.

BeerViking (5041) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2010
Cask at the Magpie & Crown, Brentford. Pours an amber-gold with a thin lacy white head. Nice malty grainy aroma, body is initially fruity but more dry than sweet. Apple and grapefruit notes with dusty malt in the finish, but also a faint sourness that I didn’t expect or care for.

From cask. Pour clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and slight malty. Bitter and persisiting sweet malty. Bitter into a dry finish.

berkshirejohn (6651) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2010
Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. A rather boring ordinary bitter; amber in colour with a loose white head; grassy aroma; malty flavour and a lightly bitter finish.

3.4
hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2010
Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Copper with a large white head. This was indifferently poured, depriving me of 1.5 cms of beer, and served rather warm. Rant over, because I liked the beer. Faint malty aroma and sweet grainy taste. Mid bitter finish.

3.3
sm89walt (2080) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 30, 2010
Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. Poured golden range with a big & lasting foamy white head. A peachy sweetness upfront with a bitter pithy orange peel aroma with a hint of yeast. Dry lemon citrus notes with a delicate touch of grapefruit and lingering bitterness in the finish. Light body with medium carbonation.

wheresthepath (2395) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2010
[Cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Orangey gold, dense white head. A little citrus up front, butter and vanilla behind. Moderate bitterness. Rather boring I thought.

weaselkenievil (1609) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2010
Cask at the working mens club in Poynton for me noodles 30th. I suspect this could be better, everything in there was proper shite. Gold amber with a thick white-ish head. Can’t smell, nose problems. Flavour is citrus with a hoppy finish. Would like to try again, toss quality pint.

Blonde pint, decent mildly herbal hop flavour, light finish. Alright without being remarkable.
