It looked good and smelled good but sadly it tasted just okay. Thatís not a bad thing but I was hoping for more.
Cask Half Pint Ė JDW Fest Autumn 2012 - Reddish-Brown in colour. Malty; toasty malts, caramel, hint of honey. Fruity; apples, berries. Hoppy; some earthy hop bitterness. Moderately bitter malty fruity throughout. Easy drinking. (2012-11-10) jjsint (3003) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2016
Handpull cask at the White Horse, Milton. Dark brown with only a hint of ruby, only slightly translucent. Loose tan head on top. Malty aroma with strong overtones of coffee and orange peel. The taste is lovely: sweet with a sharp hop bitterness on the back of the tongue. Not quite as balanced as Iíd like - and the bitterness turns slightly acrid on the finish - but thatís splitting hairs. All in all itís a smashing drink.
