Pours dark amber with minimal white head. Scent is rasiny, syrupy and yeasty. Flavor follows with the scent. A bit of raisin, some molasses, small amount of roasted malt that carries through into the almost hop-free finish. Mouthfeel is thin and flat. Not super impressed. ellolovey (483) - Georgia, USA - FEB 12, 2013
Bottle. Pours a dirty brown with an off-white foamy head. Aroma of bread, cloves, citrus, and some floral hops. Sour skunky taste. Bread malts, citrus, and cloves hit the palate. Taste like soured fruit juice. Not very appealing at all. Dry finish. edgallow (4211) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 7, 2013
16.9 oz bottle pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of malts, toffee and a bit of grass. Taste is the malts and grass.

500ml bottle in a glass. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of slightly roasted malts, some dough and bread, and light floral hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. A decent beer. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - SEP 18, 2012
Swing top bottle. Rich mahogany pour with a frothy white head. Yeast and mild fruit aroma. Palate is a bit flat and thin. Taste is mostly mild sweetness. Just not a ton to get too excited about here, but it’s not bad.

16.9oz bottle as Moosbacher Schwarze Weisse 9/1/12 (Binny’s Downers Grove)-48° in Weizen Glass-Pours a murky brown with a nice two finger tan head. Aroma of banana, yeast, caramel, and dark fruits. Taste of the same with a little bit of sourness in the middle. This medium bodied brew is lacking some flavors but still is not bad. reebtogi (6267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 19, 2012
500ml bottle labelled as Schwarze Weisse pours a light brown color with a finger of white head that leaves little lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits with some caramel and light roasted notes. Taste is dark fruits with a caramel malty sweetness and a herbal hop bitterness with some light smoke. Light to medium body with little carbonation. A decent dunkel that was somewhat tasty, but there are better ones out there. Mr_TBone (168) - Hollywood, California, USA - JUN 10, 2012
It probably isn’t fair to rate this beer as it turned out to be very old, but I have nothing else to go on. HUGE carbonation, has a tinge of sourness mixed with pay-doh in the flavor. Drain pour. fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - APR 2, 2012
