Bottle. Pours a clear brownish amber color with a small beige head. Flavor is fairly light with somewhat subtle wheat, banana, and clove. Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - AUG 16, 2011
Aroma of apple pie, clove, iron and raisins. Pours brown with a big fluffy head. Tastes nutty, dark fruits, and a bit of iron. It’s alright and other than a metallic twinge it is quite tasty. crossovert (13747) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 14, 2011
It is a light and easy to drink summer dunkelweizen, but it is a bit thin for the style. Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 7, 2011
First of all, bonus point for the cool flip top bottle. Pour big - I mean big loose beige head that almost overflows the glass. Smells fruity - like grape jam on toast. Flavor is a lot drier - More rye toast, the some fruity notes. Maybe a hint of cherry, too. I am kinda drunk... TheHopster (1111) - Netcong, New Jersey, USA - JUN 28, 2011
(bottle) Pours with an overwhelming head, like a cola. Perhaps this was an old bottle, but flavor was very thin and unimpressive.

Dark brown-amber, the aroma is of wheat, fruit, and faintly yeasty. The taste is dark fruit and wheat grain. Difficult to pour due to the yeast, this was worth it, a very good weissbier. Arayaga2 (2254) - portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 24, 2011
Hazy cider brown with a half-inch or coarse-bubbled head. Aroma is sweet and appley, also like cider. Taste is light and mildly tangy, not unlike a watered down spiced cider. Lowish carbonation, but coarse bubbles make it feel like flat soda. $3/16.9oz IrishBoy (4228) - Bakersfield, California, USA - MAY 4, 2011
.5L bottle from country Club Liquors labeled Schwarze Weisse. Clear brown with a huge, long lasting beige head. Nose of caramel, yeast, and some background peanuts. Flavor is bready wheat, a hint of banana, and some background smoky notes. rondphoto (4490) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - MAY 1, 2011
Pours dark with nice head and lacing. Dominated by caramel and roasted malt. However, at the palate it’s thin and tastes as though the brew has been watered down. Not filling, easy to drink, needs more body. glennmastrange (2900) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 18, 2011
Bottle. Moderate to heavy malt aromas of cookie, nutty and caramel, light to moderate perfume and cooked orange for the hops, light dough for the yeast with hints of raisin, toffee and brown sugar. Head is average size, fizzy, lightly tan with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear medium, brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, a little slick with a soft carbonation. A very nice, candy-like aroma from this Dunkleweizen.
