16.9 oz bottle pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of malts, toffee and a bit of grass. Taste is the malts and grass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Schwarze Weisse label. 500mL swing too into water glass (hey, it’s vacation and what I’ve got). Moderate brown with medium fine off. white head. Nose is warm malt with some vinegar. Wife suggests dried apricots and grilled peaches. Probably too cold, but the malty vinegar thing continues in the mouth. A bit one note. Drinkable, unremarkable. Wouldn’t guess it’s a wheat beer, maybe a wheat-sour hybrid kind of thing?

Aroma: wheat, with very light clove. Taste: dry with light malt sweeteness. Flavour: some dried bananas, some dark roasted bread notes. Too flat for Dunkelweizen.

SWING-TOP 50 CL. Cloudy mahogany, big beige head. Classic aroma, but not too big. Wheat tartness, but not too fruity and not too spicy. The taste is simple, quite dry and a bit flat. Not much malts, fruity esters or clove, but with quite some hop bitterness. Still, a decent weizen.

L: -pours a cloudy mahogany with a small, quickly dissipating, foamy, white head -low to medium carbonation visible S: -wheat,lemon,apple,vinegar -weirdly tart T: -wheat,lemon,clove,faint banana F: -medium to high, fairly aggressive carbonation -light body O: I don’t know if this was infected or not.I’ve seen other reviewers mention the weird tart notes in this,so i assume this is intended. Even aside from the vinegar (which doesnt belong in a Dunkelweizen),it’s a very poor example of the style. No caramel,No Roast.

From Genes. A little sweet and cola like. Not as much of a yeasty weizen experience and little too muted. Serving: Bottle

ludhaber (126) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 31, 2015
Intrigued by the black wheat label. It tastes like a traditional Dunkelweizen. Lots of caramel, thick malt. Yeast is not overly spicy with much stronger banana type flavors. An extremely tasty example of the type.

"More apple in the nose and flavor than the traditional banana. Pleasant lightly fruity, spicy aroma with some toasted malt. Flavor much the same. Would have liked it far more than most if it wasn’t an intense gusher... I got about 200 ml out of the bottle :("

YantarCoast (1437) - Moscow, RUSSIA - AUG 1, 2014
500 mln bottle labelled Moosbacher Schwarze Weisse. Muddy brown with big, soft head. No lacing. Aroma of vinegar, yeast and earth. Easy to drink but average tasting.

HighlanderOne (1353) - York, SC via NJ, South Carolina, USA - JUN 15, 2014
Poured from 1/2 liter bottle. I smell malt, apple and vinegar. Murky brown with tan head. Tastes like malty apple cider. Vinegar aftertaste - might be old. Reminds me of a cheap malt beverage. Not good.
