Pours a clear golden brown with a fairly thick pale tan head that hangs around for a little. Aroma is malty with a strong overtone of fruit, mainly apple, and a hint of spice. Flavor is malty and a little fruity, not very well rounded but still acceptable. Texture is quite fizzy, just a bit on the watery side, but it leaves behind a decent tingle. Overall, not too shabby. Not very good for one of my favorite styles. Aroma has light wheat and some chemicals. Flavor is a sour, too sour for the style. There is wheat in there as well, but no fruit or spices common to the style. There is a lot of yeast and the color is right. This flippy top bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a semi-opaque softly carbonated brown colored body. The aroma was brown malt wheat and caramel malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of brown malt and wheat. An OK brew just nothing special. Bottle. 500mL swing-top. Labeled as Schwarze Weisse. Dark amber to copper pour. Nose is chocolate covered bananas, caramel, sweet malts and candyish aromas. Toasted malts, banana, light chocolate, caramel, wheat notes, and light spice. Body is creamy, well carbonated and medium palated. (.5L bottle indicated I should "use by" 9-10 WTF? thanks to bu11zeye) muddy brown with lasting creamy head. Nose is creamy, lightly tart, and raisins. Taste of raisins, light chalky tartness, sweet fig, slightly watery body with a fruity linger.

The beer pours an amber color with a huge white head. The aroma is a lot of toffee and caramel malts with some wheat, orange and earthy hops characteristics. The flavor is wheat with a lot of toffee. 0.5l, Schwarze Weisse version, bb Jun 08. Nearly opaque red-brown with a medium and lasting, sticky head. Aroma is metallic caramel malt. Flavor is toasted bitter nut, sour caramel, bitter cocoa, sour corn, tart acidic fruit, cardboard. Light body is frothy-sloshy, watery, and astringent. What a disappointing mess. Distinct molasses and yeasty aroma, fading into that bittersweet/musky dunkelweiss thing. Colored like rootbeer candy - greybrown, with a frothy head. Good swingtop bottle. Malty, wheaty, molasses notes. Not very bitter, a bit herbal - horehound/Riccola flavors, moderately sweet. Medium to medium-light body. Interesting... The listing is called Weissbier Dunkel, the pictured label reads Dunkle Weisse, and my bottle is Schwarze Weisse.
It pours a hazy light brown with a tall rocky head. Good lacing. The aroma has a strong, bready yeast content covering caramel/toffee malt and old banana, peels and all. There’s also a slight sour milk smell. The flavor is banana with a lightly roasted malt and a touch of smokiness and a mild bitterness that develops in the finish. Just in time for the Summer.
