Can, I’ll credit the person when I am sure I will not get them in trouble. Great packaging - I’d check this beer out if it was sitting on the shelf, sleek, black, looks cool. Or interesting at least. In the glass it pours a very very pale yellow with a nice creamy white head that surprisingly sticks around. Lots of streaming bubbles as well. Aroma is not good though - Grassy and corny, not nice. Taste - ok. It is a light beer, so I was not expecting much. It is clean, nothing off, but no real flavour either. It tastes like a light pale lager that might have a tad more flavour than a Coors Light. There might even be the hint of hops in the finish and the body is a bit more robust (in relative terms) than normal. But that’s about it. Using "Light" is not an excuse when I can have world class flavourful beers below 4% from Grand River down the road - if they can do it, why can’t Moosehead?

Tried this one after baseball on a nice sunny fall day. I had seen this one many times so I was happy to finally try this light lager. I like the fact that it is very light, yet, it does lack taste overall.

Can. Pale yellow body, small white head with low retention and some lacing. Aroma of skunky herbs, wet cardboard, grains and metallic notes. Taste of grains, herbs, lemon hints and mineral water. Not that bad for the style and abv. Refreshing.

Golden and clear with only a hint of a sweetness, A very light tasting beer. Well carbonated with a nice head but it lacked in taste.

Fancy can, horrible beer. Looks like a lager mixed with 7up. The aroma is plastic and yeasty. The taste is refreshingly fresh from the lack of character. Wow. Well, I’ve had way worse light lagers.

355ml bottle. Clear golden with a small white head. Malty sweet aroma. Taste is watery sweet. Overall, another lager.

Better than 11th percentile in pale lager, imho, but that’s not saying much other than its solidly above offensive. Decent generic can of beer on a hot day.

355 ml can. (Galeria Kaufhof) Cologne, Germany. Clear yellow golden color with a small white head. Mild malty and sweet aroma. The flavor is very mild... some sweet maltiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

For 3.5% ABV, I must say this has a lot more flavour than most light beers at 4% and even more so than some between 4-5%. With that said it taste very similar to MooseHead Lager from what I can remember, with that slightly skunky taste. If you’re watching your caloric intake, at 90 calories this isn’t that bad. Certainly better than Canadian 67 which is 3%, but the extra .5% is worth the 23 calories.

They take time to make it? Time to scrape the froth off Moosehead regular beer from the vat and leave to skunk in the sun, then bottle? This stuff is quite foul, may I say on par or worse than MGD or Coors light.

lesifflebiere (1928) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 23, 2014
