A smooth clean-tasting lager that offers a good balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness

Tried this beer last summer in St. John overlooking the brewery. Very crisp and clean lager, but Moosehead in the states is nowhere near as fresh

Slight sweetness to otherwise neutral aroma. Color pale gold with standard white head. Flavor has more discernible sweet malt base than say, Molson, which also shows up in the finish...Hops are there but nothing to write home about, and works in concert with moderate carbonation to provide bite. Body a tad thin but nothing offensive in the balance. Overall, a thoroughly drinkable offering, but nothing to distinguish it (especially at a premium macro price) from the other leaders in the macro-lager pack.

Compared to the American Beers, this wins hands down. It deserves it's rankings in the top of American Standard Beers. My only complaint is the slight aftertaste. ** After I redrank the beer again later, I must say it does have a watery taste. I drank it after Icehouse the first time... nuff said.

Very light in colour and body. Flavour is very minimal and bland (Where's the malt). Very boring beer but if it was a hot stinking day and dying of thirst, then I would drink it.

If you like a moose label on a green bottle and looking for yellow fizzy tastless beer that can be distinguished only by the package. Then this is your beer!

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2005 RerateLight, thin watery appearance, pithy head; bland aroma, slight bit of honey in the flavor, drinkable. Original 2.4 Just your ordinary Canadian lager - a notch above the American standards. Detected a slight malty flavor as it made its way down my throat. Nothing offensive here or nothing to write home about.

good & simple clean tasting beer. I'll buy em' again sometime. .......
