Draft. Honey and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet honey, orange, malt, and moderate astringent/bitter herbal flavor. Body a bit light. Pretty good. PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2005
On tap at the brewpub/restaurant in the Wisconsin Dells. Orangish pour with a decent sized white head that sticks around for a while. Sweet bock flavor - some molasses, cotton candy sugary sweetness and a touch of maple syrup. Nice bite to it without being too "alcoholy". Decent thick mouthfeel. Very good brewpub bock. On tap at Moosejaw. Poured clear, very light amber with a nice sticky whitish head. The aroma picked up sweet honey and bready notes with lemon and less earthy highlights.. OK. The flavor found sweet caramel and bready notes at the core.. a hint of honey down there too.. quite bitter on the edges, sporting earth and a touch of citrus.. weird for a bock, but overall sweet and tasty. Medium-bodied with dense carbonation on the palate.. bitterness rose as it progressed.. not bad. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAR 22, 2003
Dark golden aith a light of white head. Heavy malt and alcohol aroma. Malt dominate flavors. Not quite as crips as I like, but still quite good for style. JK (6160) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - MAY 27, 2007
From Skyview’s growler. One of the better bocks I have had anywhere. Tons of vanilla in the aroma, and sweet malt is a secondary though. A light orange, cloudy appearance. Flavor has caramel, sweet malt, and more vanilla. Thick and heavy on the palate.

On tap at the brewpub in Wisconsin Dells, pours a coppery brown brew with an average off-white head that dissolves to a fine lacing. Aroma of caramel, maple syrup, vanilla, and a touch of cotton candy. Taste is full body, lightly carbonated, sweet and a honey sweet aftertaste. Finish is smooth and creamy. Probably the best of all 10 sampled at the brewpub which rendered a growler order. Well done Jamie! badgerben (5178) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAY 29, 2007
Growler courtesy of Skyview. Dark copper color with a thin head. Aroma of Noble hops and chocolate. Very sweet malt taste with some wheat in the background. Some caramel. muzzlehatch (4959) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 12, 2004
Sample at the brewpub. Clear medium amber, nice molasses nose. Full, strong sweet flavor, thick but not syrupy. Fresh and bready, with a bit of whiskey and vanilla late. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - JUN 26, 2013
On draught at the brewpub. Arrived a crystal clear golden amber with a moderate white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left substantial lace. Mild aroma of bread and a touch of honey. The flavor is malt with some mild honey sweetness. Mild bitterness at the finish. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - MAY 28, 2007
