Rich malts create a toffee & butterscotch flavor; combined with hazelnuts this brown ale has a great nutty twist, like Hazel herself!

Amber-brown, off white head. Syrupy, roast, caramel, and spice aroma. Medium bodied, vanilla, like aroma. Ok balance, malt dominant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep dark brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of hazelnut with notes of toffee and sweet grains supporting. Flavor is full of hazelnut and is supported by chocolate, toffee and sweet grains.

Keg @ Moose Jaw. Deep brown pour with a small head. Strong toasted hazelnut nose. Some gentle coffee and chocolate. Flavor is pretty sweet. Nutella and chocolate. Mild earthy roast accents. Toffee bar. Medium body, silky. OK gear, but it’s a bit sweet for me.

Pours with no head Very dark brown. Has a nutty smell to this beer. Quite different. Very smooth. A little above average overall This beer would be good in the fall or winter

Bottle. Jeez, been sitting on this at home for a few months, didn’t think much of it, didn’t know it was a gem! Dynamite hazelnut aroma - richest I’ve ever experienced. Dark dense brown pour with a big beige carbonated head. Lots of carbonation - maybe a bit too much, as it masks some of the flavor. Still excellent.

Bottle. Huge roasted hazelnut and butterscotch malt aroma. Dark brown with huge tan head. Lightly sweet roasted hazelnut, butterscotch/chocolate malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Nice body and great balance. Spectacular.

Aroma is hazelnuts/peanuts and malts. The flavor is hazelnuts/peanuts/earthy, malts, fruit, mild sweetness and a slightly tart finish.
