Hazy amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is floral and medium sweet. Taste is medium sweet, earthy/floral, fruity (apricot). Finishes nicely bitter (earthy/floral). Medium body. Was told the beer is much more intense (and a much better beer) when the hops are fresh (~September). deyholla (11749) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 14, 2012

Keg @ Moose Jaw. Somewhat hazy deep amber pour with a small head. Aroma has some C-hop character. Plenty of pine backed by caramel. Flavor is relatively bitter. Assertive resinous bitterness. Rich caramel backbone. Fairly flabby, but the strong carb helps things a bit. Very old school stuff. PorterPounder (8074) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 24, 2005
On tap at the brewpub/restaurant in the Wisconsin Dells. Medium copper pour with a good sized off-white head and sticky lacing. Floral aroma, grapefruity citrussy and spruce hoppiness with a bit of a underlying nuttiness. Decnelty thick mouthfeel. Overall, a very good brewpub IPA. On tap at Moosejaw. Poured clear lighter amber with a dense, creamy off-white head. The aroma was on the sweet side, with caramel, honey, and lesser fruits present.. nice pine and grassy accents. The flavor found enjoyable juicy pine resin and earthy bitterness over soft caramel and a touch of honey.. tasty stuff! Medium-bodied and a tad sharp from the bitterness on the palate.. just an OK flow.. solid brew overall. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Clear orange amber color pour has a full wispy lacing off-white head. Aroma of some piny, almost soapy hops with a touch of caramel malt. Body starts with some sugary caramel and earthy, sopay bitter hop balance before a watery finish. Pretty bland overall.
