Bottle from Mousehouse Cheesehouse. Amber pour with a frothy off-white head. Quite malty. Bit of caramel, earth, maybe a bit dusty. Not great.

Tap. Pours reddish Amber, nearly no head or lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel, toasty. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, roasty, caramel, , a bit metallic in its very light bitterness. Medium body, like carbonation.

Keg @ Moose Jaw. Amber pour with a small head. This beer is absent an aroma. I really can’t smell anything, which is actually sort of an accomplishment on their part. Flavor is very neutral. Milqutoast soft grain, light caramel. Little else. Somewhat husky. Medium body, bright carb .

PorterPounder (7971) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 24, 2005
On tap at the brewpub/restaurant in the Wisconsin Dells. Light copper pour with a decent sized, off-white head, good lacing. No apparent aroma that I could pick up. Flavor has some traces of caramel, mint, and cotton candy. Mouthfeel is slightly thin. Had much better ambers.

Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 13, 2010
On tap at Moosejaw. Poured medium iced tea brown with very little head. The aroma was soft with fruits, honey, and molasses leading.. some berries on the back. The flavor found sweet berries and other fruits along with molasses and caramel.. light fruity bitterness surrounded.. odd for an amber. Light-medium bodied with almost no perceptible carbonation on the palate.. not so good.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Clear amber bronze color has a thin, wispy-lacing off-white head. Sweet grainy caramel malty aroma has some toasty notes. Body starts fairly sweet and has some earthy hop flavor, but needs some more balance and has almost a soapy floral off-flavor.

Patrickctenchi (6593) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 11, 2015
Bottle: Slightly hazed, red-brown with a minimal off-white head. Caramel, cinnamon aroma. Taste is sweet, a little lactic, caramel malt....nutmeg....a little toasty. Reminded me of a really light winter ale.... OK.
