On-nitro @ the Brewpub.
Opaque black. Insane head retention..a quarter-inch of tan head lasted a good 20 minutes, and left rings of lacing.
Good coffee bitterness & dark chocolate aspect. Rich, bold flavor for a dry stout. Sometimes beers on nitro sacrifice flavor for smoothness...this one had plenty of both.
One of my favorites from this brewpub.
below average stout. very bitter and boozy. not much roasted grain or coffee flavors. soft milky feel in the mouth. pours black with a tan head. meh. fonefan (51144) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 20, 2012

Bottled. A black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, malt, caramel, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish. Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2012
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours black with a vague tint of orange and a dense beige head. Sweet chocolatey and licoricey roast aroma. Medium body, a rich roastiness, again quite some dark bitter chocolate with a whiff of salt. No real bitterness. 230512

On tap at brewery, sampler flight. Nearly fully opaque brownish-black with a dark tan head. Strong roasted coffee malts on nose. Smoky, a bit malty with coffee malts on nose that continue in flavor. Favorite of everything I’ve tried at Moosejaw. CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Pours an oily opaque black with a wispy-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of earthy dark chocolate and light smoky roasted malt. Starts fairly full with a nice dark caramel malty sweetness balanced with good bittering hops and roasted malt toward a drier finish. A nice stout.
