Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a cloudy burnt orange to brown color with a finger’s worth of off-white head. Decent messy lace.
The aroma had a big blend of caramel to chocolate big and bold up front. Some brown sugar, dates and nuts follow in underneath.
The flavor takes the previously mentioned aromas to boot in some bitter citrusy hops. Dry crisp malty to bitter aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, good brown ale that is just good for what it is, but doesn’t seem to lean towards an English or an American. It just is. BeerandBlues2 (13594) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 22, 2016

Draft at Moose’s Tooth. Brown ale? Looks like a pale. Pale amber color with a small head. Aroma has caramel and the slightest hint of nuts. Flavor is meh, malty with mild citrus hops. Watery on the palate. Not good. deaconmike (470) - Roswell, Georgia, USA - JUN 3, 2013
On tap at the Moose’s Tooth. Described as a brown ale. For me seemed more like an IPA, but with a bit of caramel maltiness to it. Overall, a very drinkable beer, but hoppier than you would expect from a brown ale. Sledutah (7725) - Utah, USA - JAN 30, 2013

Appearance: Hazy golden with a medium sized off-white head and good lacing
Aroma and tastes of Toasted malts and nutty
Golden in color, clear with a thin head. Nice roast malt and light hops flavor. Easy drinking Ale. They say spruce in the flavor but this was very subtle. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - AUG 9, 2011
Malty and hoppy beer with decent flavors. Malt side has elements of toffee, toast, nuts and bread crust. Hop side is sprucy and grassy. Good beer.
