Cask @ The Willow Walk. The pour’s medium gold with a thick creamy white head. This is an attractive beer. The nose is of mildly musty white grape, some honeyed toast, earthy funk and mild citric acid. The taste is of light citrus, some grass, autumn fruit salad and toasted white bread. A bit of dried straw. Light body, smooth. Fine carbonation. This is in cracking condition. Well played, JDW. Overall, this is actually quite good. Light, flavorful stuff.

Two Cask Pints – JDW Fest Autumn 2012 - Yellowy Gold in colour. Slight Haze. Hoppy; floral and spicy peppery herbal hops. Fruity; lemon citrus. Malty; biscuity malts, caramel. Moderately bitter hoppy fruity throughout. Dry finish. Very drinkable. Enjoyed this. Nice Beer! (2012-11-06)

Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 8 Nov 2012. Poured a hazy golden colour, with a scummy white head. Aroma of flat malt, straw and biscuit. Some fruitiness in the flavour, with melon and bread. Finish was tinned fruit, esters and funked hop.

Nov, 2012. JDW, Gravesend. Pale yellow. Mild citric and flowery hops with a lingering smudgy bitterness. Malt is faint and neutral. OK rather than exciting.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Slightly hazy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, flabby malts redeemed by some solid, slightly spicy hops and a dryish finish. Ok.

Willow Walk, Victoria 2 Nov 11. JDW festivaløl. Veldig lys gyldengul. Litt uklar. Lavt tett skum. Beskjeden fruktaroma. Smaken er søt frukt med en svakt bitter ettersmak.

Cask, one-third pint glass on a sample tray at Willow Walk. Faint white head, good lacing. Next to clear golden coloured body. Plain fruity nose. Fresh fruity flavour of peaches and lemon, lightly spiced. Bittersweet end. Soft in the mouth. Ordinary (JDWs real-ale festival, London 01.11.2012).

Pale yellow, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - soft pale malts, light spicy hops
Taste - soft pale cereal malts, fairly bitter spicy hops, unusual herbal peppery hops in there, quite refreshing
Palate - medium body, fairly smooth texture. Finish - fairly bitter peppery hop, rather dry, slightly metallic
Overall - Reasonable spicy pale golden ale

Cask conditioned handpump Four Candles Oxford 02/11/12. A golden beer with a white head and lace. A slightly floral grassy aroma. Lemony hops and a bit of sweetness in the mouth. An interesting beer. Certainly tasty and sessionable.

Cask at the Crown Rivers (JDW) LHR T5 - 03/11/12. Clear pale golden/yellow with a decent frothy white head that retains well. Good lacing ensues. Nose comprises malt, barley, grain, toasty, light citrus. Floral hops in the taste, touch of caramel, citrus notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, nice and smooth on the palate leading to a bitter finish. Probably my favourite beer of this JDW festival.

3.3
dynamiteninja (1889) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2012
Cask conditioned at the Ralph Fitz Randal (JDW), York. Medium white head. Amber body. Hoppy, lemony, grass, caramel, whiff of sulphur. Bitter, with a bitter finish.
