Cask, Special;
This blond ale has been brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival and showcases perfectly the characteristics of the Lubelski hops used, giving a floral aroma and a spicy, peppery flavour, leading to a long, dry finish. Hops used: Hersbrücker, Lubelski, Marynka

Cask at the Crown Rivers (JDW) LHR T5 - 03/11/12. Clear pale golden/yellow with a decent frothy white head that retains well. Good lacing ensues. Nose comprises malt, barley, grain, toasty, light citrus. Floral hops in the taste, touch of caramel, citrus notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, nice and smooth on the palate leading to a bitter finish. Probably my favourite beer of this JDW festival.

Cask, one-third pint glass on a sample tray at Willow Walk. Faint white head, good lacing. Next to clear golden coloured body. Plain fruity nose. Fresh fruity flavour of peaches and lemon, lightly spiced. Bittersweet end. Soft in the mouth. Ordinary (JDWs real-ale festival, London 01.11.2012).

Cask, Highcross, Leicester. Pale gold with an off white head. Aromas are biscuit and grain with hints of lemon and lime. Crisp with a fair degree of yeast. Flavours are dry biscuit with cereal and some lemon and lime tartness. Background apricot with a dry, woody finish. OK.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Slightly hazy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, flabby malts redeemed by some solid, slightly spicy hops and a dryish finish. Ok.

Cask conditioned handpump Four Candles Oxford 02/11/12. A golden beer with a white head and lace. A slightly floral grassy aroma. Lemony hops and a bit of sweetness in the mouth. An interesting beer. Certainly tasty and sessionable.

Cask @ The Willow Walk. The pour’s medium gold with a thick creamy white head. This is an attractive beer. The nose is of mildly musty white grape, some honeyed toast, earthy funk and mild citric acid. The taste is of light citrus, some grass, autumn fruit salad and toasted white bread. A bit of dried straw. Light body, smooth. Fine carbonation. This is in cracking condition. Well played, JDW. Overall, this is actually quite good. Light, flavorful stuff.

Willow Walk, Victoria 2 Nov 11. JDW festivaløl. Veldig lys gyldengul. Litt uklar. Lavt tett skum. Beskjeden fruktaroma. Smaken er søt frukt med en svakt bitter ettersmak.
