Radgie Gadgie is Geordie for "mad man".
A strong, easy drinking northern ale, with balanced hops, fruit and malt and a long, lingering finish. Champion Strong Bitter of Britain award 1998.

Cask handpull at The Crosse Keys London as Mordue Radgie Gadgie, 4.8%. Rose gold pour, pretty clear and still with a small foamy beige head. Aroma is bread, straw and apple. Body is smooth with soft to low carbonation. Taste is apple-forward, bready, teacake, light floral astringent hop tang in the finish. Overall, a decent bitter.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2017 Caramel and malty flavours. Mild on palate. However I have a cold today. Fair strength. Not as good second time. Aroma not memorable and taste was also lowered.

Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, bready malts, fruit, slight orange and subtle spicy hops. Taste of caramel, fruit, some orange, slight bready malts and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A soft, fruity, malty bitterness in the finish. A premium bitter with a lot of sweet fruits and a soft, malty bitterness in the finish. Decent.
