Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish, grass, roasted grain, weeds, sour coffee, burnt caramel, bark, nuts, cocoa, unripe banana. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish, roasted grain, sour coffee, burnt caramel, grass, hay, ashes, weeds, cocoa, bark, unripe banana. Medium bitterness, harsh burnt and slightly watery mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.
33 cl. bottle under the "Smoked Pecan Porter" alias. No date stamp. Brown-black body with a thin creamy film on top. Aroma has bread, molasses, chocolate and light smoke. Tastes of dark bread, molasses, earthy cocoa, toasted malt, peat and ash. Dashes of spicy rye and smoke here and there. Maybe some wheat in the long finish. The newer pours reddish brown with a tan head. The aroma has peat, nuttiness and more of a brown ale maltiness than porter. It has a medium body with light carbonation. The taste has lots of toasted/roasted malt, heavy smoke, spicy hops and toasted nuts. Pretty good.

pours deep brown, almost black with beige-off-white head. Aroma -flavor: intense dark malts note, which takes on chocolate, hint of coffee, nuts. Finish is dry, slightly bitter. Body is medium, texture soft, carbonation medium.

On tap @ Arendsnest. This is a deeper dark brown colored on, on top a really good looking hefty lasting and superbly lacing brownish head. Smells mild smoked and definitely chocolaty. Nutty? Sure, I’d say so. Quite roasted also on the aroma. Nice. It så a somewhat thinnish not directly watery but not far off either mouthfeel and it’s soft and prickling on the carbonation. Mild smoky beefy taste that’s loaded with quite nice tasting nutty chocolate. There’s hints of wet grass and toasted nuts often found in Ben and Jerry ice cream. Lots of flavor for sure.
