Cask, Turf Tavern, Oxford RB Crawl. Bright copper, leafy honey aroma. A bit sweet, but not bad. Rustic honey malt, a bit of earthy hop flavor. Middle of the road bitter. SilkTork (5884) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2008
Turf Tavern A pleasant session bitter - a bit of rough edge with character. Some honey. Certainly enjoyable enough. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2008
A Mes rate: Cask at the Turf Tavern, Oxford during the RB pub crawl. harrisoni (19413) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2008
I agree with Ian about the unbrewed malt but it was quite so offensive to me. Slightly lacking in every department. Not a great beer.
Cask handpull, Turf Tavern, Oxford, RB Pub crawl 08. Amber colour with disappearing beige head. Raspberry strong malt aroma. This is so bad, with what tastes like unbrewed malt in the mouth. More or less undrinkable in my opinion. It made me have to get a half of Guinness Red to replace it, that’s how bad it was. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2008
Cask at Turf Tavern, Oxford, on Ratebeer Oxford Day ’08. Gold with a sweet honey aroma. Taste had malt and a little fruitiness. Decent but not outstanding.

Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford Ratebeerian day. Gold with white head. Restrained thinnish bitter but with a touch more character than the Lockkeepers Ale tried previously. Some hops, slightly lemony, cerealy, malty. Average fare. DanielBrown (4549) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2006
Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. Ruddy gold, head that disappears quickly. Pretty standard Bitter - mix of smooth, grainy malt and a little oily, dry hops. OK.
