This deserves a better rating than it has. Not traditional in that it has a lot more hops than usual, but it only adds to the appeal. Tried at the brewery in 2014. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 1, 2014
Draft sampler poured a medium brown with off white head. Nice nut brown aroma with medium dark malts and a hop presence. Flavor was quite good nice nutty flavor with a hop crispness. Overall this one was one of the better ones. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 22, 2014
Taster on tap at the brewery. Clear dark red color. Thin khaki head, leaves good thicker lace. Great chocolate, nutty aroma up front. Medium-plus body, big and full for the ABV. Smooth, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Nice flavor again, like hazelnut or marzipan or something. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Tasty brown ale! on tap at the brewpub; reddish brown color; a dry, smooth, well balanced, easy drinking American Brown Ale with a very mild roasted malt flavor; a great session beer JStax (6502) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - NOV 7, 2010
On tap into a shot glass. Appearance is a dark, translucent brown with a beige head. Aroma is malts and coffee. Taste follows suit. Coffee comes throughout magnificently. This is my favorite of the sampler I got while at the brewery. I would say this is their best by a good bit.

On tap at MBC. Classic brown ale. Sweet, malty, nutty tones. Maybe some caramel and amber malts. Nice, simple malt depth. Clean, solid for the style. Caramel brown chocolate finish. True to style. BeerandBlues2 (13321) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 8, 2010

Solid brown ale, nothing special but certainly one that I’d order if it were available to me locally. Brown and sweet, faint bitterness. Nice.
