COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Brookside Saison is a sunlight-brewed ale traditionally brewed for summer farm workers. Grains of paradise leave a slight peppery note, while Belgian yeast provides hints of fruit that round out our dry, highly drinkable, unfiltered farmhouse ale.

Draft. Cloudy light golden body with a frothy white head. Aroma of clove, pepper and toasted grain. Hint of lemon and hay. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Thick mouthfeel. Lots of spice. Very little character pulled from the Belgian yeast. Clunky.

6.8%, 32ibu, draft at brewery. Thick, cloudy light golden, hay color. I saved this for the last rating bc its not good. How do u get diacetyl into a saison? Also, its a poor Belgian ale making believe its a Saison. Not sweet or overly estry but wtf with the diacetyl?

Draft - Light and sweet fruity yeast notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet citrus, fruity yeasty notes and a peppery finish. Not bad.

It pours yellow/orange with a white head. Its a bit on the spicier side and has more of Belgian blonde thing going on. The finish has a bit of dried leaves, but still more blond like. Okay as a beer, but not as a saison.

On tap at the brewery (5/15/15). Nice saison aroma, herbal and spicy with a little honey sweetness. Mild pilsner malt. Golden amber clear with thin head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Mild flavor but clean. Nice saison profile, with spice and sweetness. Mild bitter finish and after. A bit watery but good.

Draft taster at the brewpub. Slightly hazy straw color with bare white head. Lemongrass, hay. Just a hint of funk, not enough to make it worthwhile.

The aroma was tangy, bready and citric with a bit of funk, pez and perfume. The flavor was bubblegum tangy malts, pez, citrus and bread. Long finish of bubblegum and bread dough. Medium body. Decent.

A less than perfect saison. Has some significant citrus, a bit of grassiness and hay, but with very little of the farmyard funk.
