COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American Stout stout that opens with a walllop of roasted grains to unveil slight bittersweet chocolate and espresso undertones, a big bold brown head tops this midnight black brew, which features a medium full body, equivalent hop support, and bold grainy goodness throughout.

5.6%, 36ibu, draft at brewery. Black beer with brown head. Moderate roast and fume aroma. Flavor has strong roast without getting acidic or being over the top and some sweet malt but not sugary. Very very good version of a brewpub stout. Light mineral and cola finish. Some black biscuit bread as well. If this was in a 6er I might buy it.

Very dark brown, dark bubbly head. Rich, molasses, a bit smoky. Malts end up being a bit thin on the palate, the sugars I smell but don’t taste as much.

Tasty stout that felt a bit thin on the mouth but full of rich smokey and chocolate flavor. Not bad, not amazing.

Growler shared by someone at Natifest (from notes). Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have some roasted malts, dark cocoa, ashy, hints of coffee, I realize this is not an imperial stout, but this seemed thin and a touch watery, ok.

nuplastikk (6224) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Tap at MBC. Black body. Dark rusty beige head. Roasty chocolate aroma. On the fuller side of medium bodied. A really solid Stout. A nice brewpub asset.

3.9
BeerdedDave (1678) - Beckley, USA - OCT 9, 2014
on tap at the brewpub; black with chocolate and roasted malt aroma; a smooth, dry stout with mild roasted malt notes; very pleasant and easy drinking
