500ml bottle [Thanx Chris!]. Clear, pale amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mild caramel malty aroma with a touch of toffee, butterscotch. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, a touch of toffee and butterscotch, plain bitter hoppy overtones; soft, creamy palate. Nice subtleties in the malt flavours, well balanced sweetness, sadly a bit anaemic.

The difference of a Bernstein and an normal Fiege Pils is the suffy taste and the frohlocktheit of the gaumen. If you hate the normal Fiege: This is a beer for you.

0,5 l bottle. A mid amber in the glass, big white head, low carbonated. A little bit sourish on the nose. Low sourish roasted malt, light hop herb, cookies. Interesting for that kind of beer.

Swing top bottle at home, 500 ml, thanks McTapps! Into a Guinness pint, ABV 4.7% Deep copper orange colour on the body, clear, with slow activity in it and a bit more than two fingers of off-white head on top. Very good retention, light lacing left behind. Aroma of malts, faint toffee, grass. Taste is mildly sweet, malty, traces of toffee, butter, grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Good but nothing special.
