The difference of a Bernstein and an normal Fiege Pils is the suffy taste and the frohlocktheit of the gaumen. If you hate the normal Fiege: This is a beer for you. McTapps (6899) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - JUL 29, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2012 Best beer ever. Tender sweetness, no bitterness at all. Notes of soft caramel and wood, only some light foam. A perfect beer for a cozy dinner or for watching tv. MichaelAwesome (6546) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - AUG 1, 2012
0,5 l swingtop bottle. Mild malty beer, not much sparkling, best drunken when a bit uptempered. Great Vienna style beer. omhper (25243) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2012
Bottled, thanks pivnizub. Clear amber, mid sized firm head. Doughy malt aroma. Mid sweet with light-medium body and firm, soft mouthfeel. Generous bready raisiny malt. Slight grassy bitterness. Very well balanced. _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 25, 2015
Bottle received in Euroswap 1, 2015. Thank you Erzengel. Pours clear goldenish Amber with a rather big frothy and creamy pale beige head that leaves lots of sticky lacing and trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, slightly herbal, tiny floral and tiny earthy with dark bread, caramel, dough, hay, moist green herbs, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, herbals and floral with dark bread, caramel, biscuits, hay, moist soil, minerals, lemon peal and hints of dried apricots. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny crisp and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with dark bread, caramel, biscuits, oatmeal cookies, hay, moist soil and lemon peal. Solid malt forward lager. Not my favourite style of beer but this is very well made...

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2014 50cl fliptop courtesy of central NRW supplier McTapps, danke! Doesn’t wholly betray its well-rounded, spot on "amber" taste in its powdery, sweetish aroma: caramel toffee meets well-designed DE hop grassiness, without becoming too sweet. Ends on a confident hoppy note, recalling Fiege’s prime pils, framed on a palate coated in Werther’s Echte. Smooth and like an aspirational Disney film, this beer achieves what it sets out to be. Bottle shared at chriso’s. Pours clear copper-gold with a white cream head. The aroma has toasty bread, caramel, cereal. Medium sweet flavor with more bready malts, toffee, slight leafy hops. Light bodied with average carboantion. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Simple bready finish, more caramel, toast, hay. Simple but tasty. MMR (752) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 14, 2015
Rather nice Amber Lager. Pours a hazy colored glass and has a nice bitter aftertaste. JorgeLee (2134) - Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 1, 2016
Bottle, courtesy of Hermann. Deep rich amber gold colour. Sweet bready malt, hint of caramel. Spicy hop, modest, not very bitter. Lovely to drink, well made if not the most challenging. biir (1397) - Berlin, - NOV 11, 2016
