Draught at Fiege’s Stamhaus in Bochum, on December 27, 2008. Clear golden color, white head. Nice malty and fruity fresh scent. Nice fresh malty and spicy taste. Smoth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 10, 2011
My Bottom Line : Erzengel (8763) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 27, 2014
Grassy, herbal hops follow through from aroma to bitterness to spruce up this prickly German Pilsener’s lean honeyed pils malts.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A seductive head of foam tops the sparkling pale golden, not lacing much though.
-Even though this is a textbook German Pils, it does have more character than the average through the coherent expression of both malts and hops in the flavor profile.
-This is obviously well balanced.
-Light citrusy and earthy hop accents appear here and there.
-That hoppy finish is quite welcoming. I want more than a pint! Which is the point, right?
Bottle. Thx Günther!
On tap. Smooth intense bitter. Floral fresh, very crisp, smooth, fresh. The aftertaste is nice bittered, very crisp, hints of grain, nice beer! _angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 20, 2015
Pours clear deep golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves some thick sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and floral with dark bread, cereal, hay, dried flowers, moist soil, minerals and orange peal. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, malty, floral and earthy with bread, cereal, hay, moist soil, minerals and lemon peal. Mouthfeel is crisp, sparkling, slightly dry, slightly astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with bread, cereal, hay, moist soil, minerals and lemon peal. Very enjoyable pilsner! Bitter, bready and with just the right amount of earthy floral hops. blackbock (132) - Shoalhaven NSW, AUSTRALIA - MAR 22, 2017
(Bottle) Poured clear yellow. Minimal head which did last well. Aroma of noble hop. Noble hop flavours with delicate malt. Not overly sweet or bitter. Finish cleansing but not astringent. Very nice.

bottle, thanks to pivnizub! Golden yellow colour, large and persistent head. Hoppy nose. Full of hoppy flavours, very pleasant indeed, slightly malty. Full-bodied with lovely hoppy flavours. A fantastic Pils of the Northern German style. Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JUL 11, 2014
Bottle at home from McTapps, cheers Sabine!ganache (5903) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 1, 2006
pale sparkling blonde with moussy white head, fresh grassy nettle aroma, gentle carbonation full bodied herbal, bready fresh, quaffable excellence
Swing-top bottle. Rich clear golden pour with a soapy/rocky white head. It’s good to taste a hoppy pils, it’s been a while. A balance is struck between strongly perfumey, malty sweetness and a dry, mildly bitter hoppiness. Quite smooth, I’d rather like a little bite. Many thanks to MortizF for this one! Hotel shack party cad. Bottle from der dopplebock. Im happy about this rating as i had no idea what the beer way and rated it 3.7 without knowing its a good pilsner, which tells me i must know how to rate a decent pilsner at last. Aroma of pilsner biscuity malts with a good load of grassy hops. Taste is similar a loa of hops in here but never too bitter, good palate cleanser also. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 10, 2007
