Bele couleur orangée, arômes caramel, sucre candi, orange. Super bière ! Dans mon top anglais à coup sûr. Génial !

Bottle at home. Pours brilliantly clear dark amber with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is dried fruits, light caramel and nutty notes, moderate toast and cookie malt, and minty, herbal hops. Flavor is lightly bitter dried fruits and minty hops, light sherry oxidation, caramel notes, toast and cookie malt, and a sweet finish. Medium body and light carbonation with a mild alcohol warmth.

Bottle - Dark Amber in colour. Very Malty; toasted malts, lots of caramel, toffee, lots of vanilla, oaky. Fruity; raisins, dark fruits, spicy. Full flavoured. Alcohol very evident. Sweetish malty fruity throughout. Dry malty finish. Not bad. Quite tasty. Enjoy this. Nice beer!

Christos (5741) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAR 21, 2014
Clear glass bottle, 500 ml, at home, poured into a big Guinness glass. ABV 6.5% Amber colour on the body, just a couple of bubbles rising to the surface. Head is something less than two fingers, off-white in colour and quite thick, with good retention too. Light lacing left after it has collapsed. Aroma has plenty of caramel, toasted malts, toffee, the slightiest of vanilla but still there. Very good and inviting. Taste is toasted malts, caramel, light butter and toffee, a touch of pepper, with a nice bitterness on the finish and on the aftertaste, nothing too extreme or even moderate, but rather subtle, somehow though it fits it quite good. Medium thin body, notable carbonation. Overall a very nice beer, much better than the normal Hen I think.

Clear amber body. Thick head to start but only a ring to finish. Roasty, fruity, sweet aroma. Almost candy like. Taste is sweet with light bitterness.

Salmoniform (1272) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - MAR 8, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Amber hue with off white head that dissipated to a thin ring. Aroma is heavy malt, woody, caramel, clove, roast, slight banana. Mouthfeel is nice with full body and moderate carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with bitter following and dry finish. Overall this is a nice smooth brew.

don’t be detoured by the 6.5% alc vol. This beer is very palatable but I have only taken one bottle per night, deciding to change down gear for the next home drink,,like a ’speckie’ or Tribute

Mr_Pink_152 (4985) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2014
500ml bottle from supermarket. A very rich and dark brown beer. It’s a touch sweet, but with a good maltiness and a bitter finish.

downender (8658) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2014
From Sainsburys. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of barley sugar, oak and a touch of marmalade. Flavour was a bit skunky to start, with some stale malts and sweet fruit, before being redeemed by some deep orange, berry fruits and a warming alcohol finish. A mixed bag, but pretty good overall.
