Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW - London. Pours clear copper with a lasting, creamy off-white head. Toasty bread in the nose, with suggestions of caramel and ripe berries. Light-medium sweet flavour with sturdy earthy bitterness, more bread, toffee, old leathery fruits, dates. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. A little sticky on the finish, with more ripe berries, brown bread, some fruitcake. Not bad.

Cask handpull at The Crosse Keys Bishopsgate as ’Morland Old Crafty Hen Oak Aged Vintage’. Dark bronze dark orange brown, translucent and still, diminishing foam. Aroma is toffee, quite airy. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is rounded malts, toffee, twig and spice, rum, woody, musty, oak. I actually quite like this. Rounded full flavour with oak showing up and not oversweet. Very good English Old Ale. mR_fr0g (13154) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2016

Pours clear amber with low head. Aroma is nuts, alcohol, caramel, bready. Hops and roasted aromas. Flavor is mostly same. Really nice! Well balanced. Chipalsa (1310) - Florida, USA - JUL 7, 2013
An interesting offering. There weren’t any off-flavors but the combination of soft tannin, toffee and raisins just don’t go together as well as you’d think. Maybe a smoother nitro pour would be more ideal here.
