Pint of cask while waiting for a train. A strong flavour of maize and some dankness coming through. I really didn't enjoy this and left a third of the pint as I really couldn't be bothered to finish it. Which was a bit of a waste of money, but reminds me why I avoid train station pubs. hotstuff (5258) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 21, 2017
Rated on 9-14-2017. (Draft) The appearance when served is a small head that mostly diminished, transparent golden body, no carbonation observed, and spotty lacing. The aroma is light tropical fruit and malt. The flavor is lightly bitter, tropical fruit and malt. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and smooth. This beer is light-medium bodied. This is an easy drinking beer but overall nothing truly special about it. luttonm (6763) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 17, 2017

fountain, Cannock. Golden beer with large head good lacing. Aroma is light citrus and malts. Taste is citrus, some sourness and malts. Maybe at the end of its life, but not too bad.
Cask at the Haymarket. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of faint dusty malt. Taste is astringent sweet malt. Overly bitter aftertaste that I don’t think is hop-derived. Not great. ClarkVV (6873) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - APR 12, 2017

Golden with strong brass hues, a high clarity and a firm, white head atop.
The nose is a bit soggy, though one does find the Galaxy hop after some searching. They certainly didn’t bet the farm on the amount they put in here though....Not that every beer needs to be a hop bomb, but this has only hints of lime and green, leafy spiciness. It does indeed leave room for the malts which add basic honey, vanilla and light cereal to the mix as it finishes with no alcohol or flaw.
Watery to-style with ample carbonation and lots of rich honey that is in turn well-attenuated. Some hops, obviously of an IPA type, but not even enough has gone in to identify them as Galaxy. Leafy, mildly bitter and lightly spicy with lots of monotonous malt notes and very little of any house character which is really what’s to be looked for in a low gravity session beer that doesn’t focus on hops.
Also the name should have been, "Gold Speckled Hen". They couldn’t even figure that out, those bastards.

Draft at the Pheasant. Thick, slippery pour with a small but creamy head, sheets of lacing left around the glass. Nice big, full grainy aroma, follows trough to taste, one of the better goldens i’ve had recently. Really nice flavors and mouth feel is heavenly. thomat (4144) - Gteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 9, 2016
